Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Process Engineer to manage all aspects of mold sampling and qualification for new or rebuilt tools, while optimizing the molding process to meet dimensional and cycle-time targets. The role includes creating Master Process Sheets, coordinating with plant teams, and leading DOE studies to ensure quality and efficiency across facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred.
• Experience in plastics packaging is advantageous.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.

Responsibilities

• Mold samplings and qualification services for new/rebuilt tools.
• Optimize molding process to meet dimensional limits at target cycle time.
• Create and maintain Master Process Sheets for injection/blow molding.
• Attend project meetings, reviews and tool specification sessions.
• Train plant personnel in machine processing and tool design changes.
• Provide technical manufacturing support to resolve issues.
• Support tooling qualification/validation at vendor sites.
• Design of Experiments (DOE) and process capability studies.
• Maintain shared best practices across facilities.
• Lead and perform in-house training on tooling maintenance.
