Job summary

ShawnTech Communications, Inc is seeking a trustworthy, versatile technical specialist to support inmate technologies within a correctional facility. You will handle phones, video visitation systems, and inmate tablets, perform daily data entry, and work independently while collaborating with facility staff and partners.

Required are 2+ years in telecommunications, 2 years in computer/network installation and repair, plus strong customer service and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in telecommunications including installation, repair, and troubleshooting of inmate communication systems.
• 2 years experience with computer / network installation and repair.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, presentation and communication skills.
• High School Diploma or GED; some college courses preferred.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must pass criminal background screens.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, correct, and service inmate technology systems.
• Maintain and operate onsite telecom hardware, networking gear, access points, and wiring at all assigned correctional facilities.
• Address basic telephone repair and maintenance needs.
• Meet all service requirements per contract.
• Build and maintain relationships with facility personnel and customers; interface with vendors and contractors to resolve onsite issues.
• Monitor time and control service-related expenses.
• Deliver services in a timely and effective manner; ensure optimal system performance.
• Provide onsite instruction and training for site personnel.
