Shawntech Communications LLC seeks a trustworthy telecommunications technician to support inmate technologies across correctional facilities, including inmate phones, video visitation, and tablets. Troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of onsite hardware and Wi-Fi/Access Points are key responsibilities, with a focus on timely service delivery.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in telecom installation/repair, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently inside facilities

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in telecommunications including installation, repair, and troubleshooting of inmate communication systems (phones, video visitation, Wi-Fi/Access Points).
• 2 years of experience with computer/network installation and repair.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, presentation and communication skills.
• High School Diploma or GED; some college courses preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, correct, and service issues with inmate technology systems.
• Maintain, repair, and operate onsite telecommunications hardware, networking hardware/software, access points, and wiring.
• Address basic telephone repair and maintenance needs at the facility.
• Meet all service requirements as set by the customer contract.
• Build and maintain relationships with facility personnel and customer contacts.
• Interface with correctional staff, vendors, and contractors to resolve on-site problems.
