Job summary

ShawnTech Communications, Inc. seeks a trustworthy telecom support specialist to service inmate technology systems, including inmate phones, video visitation, and tablets, on site at correctional facilities.

You will perform daily data entry, coordinate with facility staff and vendors, and provide on-site training as needed. Candidates should have 2+ years in telecom installation and repair, strong customer service, and the ability to pass background checks.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in telecommunications including installation, repair and troubleshooting of inmate communication systems.
• 2 years of experience with computer/network installation and repair.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, presentation and communication skills.
• High School Diploma or GED; some college courses preferred.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must be able to pass criminal background screens.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting and servicing issues with inmate technology systems.
• Maintain, repair, and operate onsite telecommunications hardware and networking equipment at facilities.
• Address basic telephone repair and maintenance needs of the facility.
• Meet all service requirements as set forth by the customer contract.
• Build and maintain relationships with facility personnel and customer contacts; interface with vendors and contractors to resolve issues.
• Monitor time and control service-related expenses.
• Deliver services in a timely and effective manner to ensure optimal system performance.
• Provide onsite instruction and training for site personnel as necessary.
