Job summary

Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction seeks a records management professional at the Lebanon Correctional Institute. Responsibilities include reviewing inmate records for sex offender registration and DNA testing compliance, and operating LEADS and confidential information terminals for data handling.

You will research warrants/detainers in LEADS, advise inmates, and prepare documentation for interstate detainers.

Qualifications

• Experience with records management and confidentiality requirements.
• Familiarity with court procedures and detainer processes is a plus.
• Proficient in data entry and document management tasks.

Responsibilities

• Review inmate records to ensure sex offender registration compliance and DNA testing requirements.
• Operate law enforcement computer systems and confidential information terminals.
• Research LEADS for warrants and detainers; advise inmates of pending detainers and prepare related documents.
• Authorize release of inmates to temporary custody under TAD; coordinate with courts and agencies.
• Maintain inmate records in OnBase and update DOTS Portal with status codes.
• Serve as liaison between facility staff and law enforcement for court transports.
• Attend meetings, trainings, and conferences; provide trainings as needed.
• Respond to inmate inquiries in writing and verbally; handle routine correspondence.
