Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle’s South Lake Union region seeks an Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) for a per diem role. The RN will support infusion therapies, coordinate care with the multidisciplinary team and educate patients and families about disease processes and treatments.

The role emphasizes applying research and evidence-based knowledge, maintaining high safety standards, and participating in ongoing education and quality initiatives within a leading cancer center.

Competenze

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing and hold a current RN license.
• Oncology experience or training provided; BLS certification required.
• Chemotherapy/biotherapy experience or Provider Card within 3 months of hire.
• Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking and time management.
• Effective communication with patients, families and care teams.

Mansioni

• Assess physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs; plan care.
• Educate patients and families on disease, treatment, side effects and symptom management.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team for continuity of care.
• Administer IV hydration, electrolytes, chemotherapy/biotherapy and blood products.
• Ensure safe handling and disposal of hazardous drugs; follow procedures.
• Provide patient and family education; conduct learning needs assessments.
• Collaborate with care team; request consultations when needed.
• Engage in continuing education and quality improvement initiatives.
