Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle is seeking a per diem Registered Nurse - Infusion to join an interdisciplinary care team. The role focuses on patient-centered assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in an ambulatory infusion setting.

Shifts are Monday to Friday, 10 hours, 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, at the Northwest Clinic in North Seattle. The RN will administer chemotherapy/biotherapy, IV hydration and blood products, while educating patients and families.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current WA RN license or multi-state license with WA as primary state within 60 days.
• Oncology experience preferred; training provided if not.
• BLS/Healthcare Provider card renewed every two years.
• ONS Chemotherapy Provider Card within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' physical, emotional, and spiritual needs and plan care.
• Educate patients and families on disease and treatment.
• Administer chemotherapy/biotherapy, IV hydration, electrolytes and blood products.
• Coordinate with inter-disciplinary team for ongoing care.
• Ensure safe handling of hazardous drugs and proper disposal.
