Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for a 0.90 FTE position at our South Lake Union location. The role focuses on patient-centric care, with responsibilities across assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation within an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include educating patients and families, coordinating care, administering IV therapies and integrating research-based evidence into practice.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Washington State RN multistate license or eligible to update to WA MSL within 60 days.
• Oncology experience preferred; training provided if needed.
• BLS certification with renewal every two years.
• Chemotherapy provider card within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs across physical, emotional, social and spiritual domains.
• Develop and revise care plans based on disease, symptoms and response.
• Educate patients and families on disease, treatment, side effects and symptom management.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.
• Refer to social work, nutrition, home care and other resources as needed.
• Administer and monitor IV therapies, hydration and blood products.
• Integrate research evidence into clinical practice.
