Job summary

Premiere Healthcare Staffing is seeking an Oncology Registered Nurse for an infusion setting in Lewiston, Maine. The assignment runs for 12 weeks, with day shifts and a pay range per shift.

Ideal candidates hold RN license, BLS, ACLS, and have at least one year oncology experience; duties include administering chemotherapy, patient assessment, education, and coordinating care while ensuring HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS (AHA) required upon hire and maintained.
• ACLS (AHA) required upon hire and maintained.
• Minimum one year of RN Oncology experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to oncology patients in an infusion setting.
• Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, immunotherapy, and IV infusions per protocol.
• Perform patient assessments and monitor treatment response and side effects.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and symptom management.
• Ensure adherence to oncology safety standards and hazardous drug handling protocols.
• Communicate clinical changes, labs, and diagnostic results to physicians.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Collaborate with oncology care team to coordinate treatment and supportive care.
