Job summary
Premiere Healthcare Staffing is seeking an Oncology Registered Nurse for an infusion-focused role in Lewiston, Maine. The position requires direct care to oncology patients, administering chemotherapy and related therapies, and coordinating with the care team to manage treatment and supportive services.
Requirements include an active state RN license in Maine, BLS and ACLS at hire, and a minimum of one year of RN Oncology experience.
Qualifications
- Current and valid state RN license.
- BLS (AHA) required upon hire and maintained.
- ACLS (AHA) required upon hire and maintained.
- Minimum one year of RN Oncology experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care to oncology patients in an infusion setting.
- Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, immunotherapy, and IV infusions per protocol.
- Perform patient assessments and monitor treatment response and side effects.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and symptom management.
- Ensure adherence to oncology safety standards and hazardous drug handling protocols.
- Communicate clinical changes, labs, and diagnostic results to physicians.
- Maintain accurate documentation and HIPAA compliance.
- Collaborate with oncology care team to coordinate treatment and supportive care.
