Job summary

Premiere Healthcare Staffing is seeking an Oncology Registered Nurse for a 12-week assignment in Lewiston, Maine. You will provide direct infusion care, administer chemotherapy and related therapies, and monitor patient responses in a busy oncology unit.

The role requires an active RN license, BLS and ACLS, plus at least one year of oncology experience. This position offers day shifts and competitive pay with per-hour compensation aligned to Maine standards.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS (AHA) certification required.
• ACLS (AHA) certification required.
• Minimum one year of RN Oncology experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to oncology patients in an infusion setting.
• Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, immunotherapy, and IV infusions per protocol.
• Perform patient assessments and monitor treatment response and side effects.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and symptom management.
• Ensure adherence to oncology safety standards and hazardous drug handling protocols.
• Communicate clinical changes, labs, and diagnostic results to physicians.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Collaborate with oncology care team to coordinate treatment and supportive care.
