Job summary
Premiere Healthcare Staffing is seeking an Oncology Registered Nurse for an infusion-focused role in Lewiston, Maine. You will provide direct care to oncology patients, administer chemotherapy and related therapies, and coordinate symptom management with the care team.
Requirements include an active RN license in the state, BLS and ACLS at hire, and a minimum of one year of oncology nursing experience. Shifts are days, with a 12-week assignment and weekly pay.
Qualifications
- Current and valid state RN license.
- BLS (AHA) certification required at hire and maintained.
- ACLS (AHA) certification required at hire and maintained.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care to oncology patients in an infusion setting.
- Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, immunotherapy, and IV infusions per protocol.
- Perform patient assessments and monitor treatment response and side effects.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and symptom management.
- Ensure adherence to oncology safety standards and hazardous drug handling protocols.
- Communicate clinical changes, labs, and diagnostic results to physicians.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure HIPAA compliance.
- Collaborate with oncology care team to coordinate treatment and supportive care.
