Job summary

Premiere Healthcare Staffing is seeking an Oncology Registered Nurse to join our team in Lewiston, Maine for days shifts. This RN role focuses on infusion care, chemotherapy administration, patient assessments, and education for patients and families.

The assignment lasts 12 weeks with weekly pay and dedicated career support. The position requires an active Maine RN license, BLS and ACLS, and at least one year of oncology nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Active BLS (AHA) certification on hire and maintained.
• ACLS (AHA) certification on hire and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to oncology patients in an infusion setting.
• Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, immunotherapy, and IV infusions per protocol.
• Perform patient assessments and monitor treatment response and side effects.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and symptom management.
• Ensure adherence to oncology safety standards and hazardous drug handling protocols.
• Communicate clinical changes, labs, and diagnostic results to physicians.
• Maintain accurate documentation and HIPAA compliance.
• Collaborate with oncology care team to coordinate treatment and supportive care.
