Job summary
Premiere Healthcare Staffing is seeking an Oncology Registered Nurse to join an infusion-focused care team in Lewiston, ME. The role requires an active RN license, BLS/ACLS, and at least one year of oncology experience. Shifts are days with pay details per shift and weekly payroll.
The RN will administer chemotherapy and related infusions, assess patients, educate families, and ensure safety and HIPAA compliance. This position offers a 12-week assignment with dedicated career support.
Qualifications
- Current and valid state RN license required.
- BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) upon hire and maintained.
- Minimum one year of RN Oncology experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care to oncology patients in an infusion setting.
- Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, immunotherapy, and IV infusions per protocol.
- Perform patient assessments and monitor treatment response and side effects.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and symptom management.
- Ensure adherence to oncology safety standards and hazardous drug handling protocols.
- Communicate clinical changes, labs, and diagnostic results to physicians.
- Maintain accurate documentation and HIPAA compliance.
- Collaborate with oncology care team to coordinate treatment and supportive care.
