Job summary

Premiere Healthcare Staffing is seeking an Oncology Registered Nurse for a 12-week assignment in Lewiston, Maine. You will provide direct care to oncology patients in an infusion setting, administering chemotherapy and other therapies per protocol while monitoring responses and side effects.

Educating patients and families, maintaining safety standards, and coordinating with the care team are essential responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS (AHA) certification required on hire and maintained.
• ACLS (AHA) certification required on hire and maintained.
• Minimum one year of RN Oncology experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to oncology patients in an infusion setting.
• Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, immunotherapy, and IV infusions per protocol.
• Perform patient assessments and monitor treatment response and side effects.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and symptom management.
• Ensure adherence to oncology safety standards and hazardous drug handling protocols.
• Communicate clinical changes, labs, and diagnostic results to physicians.
• Maintain accurate documentation and HIPAA compliance.
• Collaborate with oncology care team to coordinate treatment and supportive care.
