Job summary

Option Care Health, Inc. is seeking a Nursing Support Supervisor to assist the Area Director of Nursing and Nurse Manager in ensuring patients receive prescribed therapies in line with policies and accrediting standards.

The role includes supervising schedulers and clerks and overseeing the nursing support staff. The position manages staffing, scheduling, and safety compliance, while coordinating with patients, clinicians, and other departments to deliver timely home health/infusion care

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years of home health care experience providing specialty nursing care.
• At least 1 year of experience directly or indirectly managing people, OR 3 years of relevant nursing experience with progression.

Responsibilities

• Oversees staff responsible for arranging patient care.
• Supervises, monitors and evaluates the quality and effectiveness of patient care across the support team.
• Facilitates patient complaints or issues for resolution or to appropriate department.
• Ensures management is aware of staffing needs and requirements.
• Oversees scheduling needs with staffing availability.
• Supports and monitors daily agency operations and communication.
• Monitors documentation and billing requirements for home health/infusion care goods and services.
• Assists in development and evaluation of nursing staff education and orientation programs.
• Coordinates nursing activities and patient services.
• Contacts patients and clinicians to schedule deliveries and visits.
• Supports sales staff by describing available services.
• Participates in advisory committees and process improvement teams.
