Job summary

Local Infusion is seeking an Insurance & Intake Coordinator (Infusion Guide) to coordinate referrals, obtain authorizations, and assist patients and providers with insurance processes. The role is onsite at our Largo, FL center with standard business hours and a strong focus on patient-centered care.

The ideal candidate will have healthcare experience, familiarity with EHR systems, and prior infusion or insurance experience, enabling efficient navigation of pre-authorizations and benefit

Qualifications

• Healthcare experience is required.
• Experience with insurance pre-authorizations is preferred.
• Infusion experience is desirable.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.
• Experience using Electronic Health Records (EHR).
• Ability to learn new apps quickly.

Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of the infusion referral process; obtain authorizations, financial counseling, benefit investigation.
• Liaison with referring providers to obtain documentation and communicate patient status.
• Communicate referral process and status to patients in a customer-centric way.
• Openly communicate with referring and prescribing providers.
• Assist in maintaining medical inventory and office supplies.
• Undergo a dedicated 6-week training plan to ensure success in the role.
