Job summary

Local Infusion is seeking an Insurance & Intake Coordinator, an Infusion Guide, to coordinate referrals, authorizations and patient communications. The role is onsite in Thomaston, ME, with M-F, 8:30am–4:30pm hours and a focus on delivering high-quality infusion care.

Ideal candidates bring prior insurance pre-authorization experience, medical terminology knowledge, and familiarity with EHR systems. The position includes full benefits, a quarterly bonus, and opportunities to grow with a

Qualifications

• Experience reading medical charts and handling insurance pre-authorizations.
• Healthcare experience and infusion familiarity.
• Strong patient/customer service focus.

Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of the infusion referral process; obtaining authorizations, financial counseling, benefit investigation
• Liaison with referring providers to obtain documentation necessary for treatment, and communicate status of their patients
• Communicate referral process and status to patients in a customer-centric way
• Openly communicate with referring/prescribing providers
• Assist in maintaining medical inventory and office supplies
• Dedicated 6 week training plan to help you succeed in your role
