Job summary

Local Infusion is hiring an Insurance & Intake Coordinator, an “Infusion Guide,” to join our onsite Warrensville, OH center. Expect a Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. schedule with full benefits and a $25/hr starting salary plus quarterly bonus.

You will handle authorizations, financial counseling, and benefit investigations, while collaborating with providers and patients to ensure high-quality infusion care.

Qualifications

• Healthcare experience required.
• Prior infusion experience preferred.
• Experience with insurance prior authorization.
• Medical terminology knowledge.
• Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR).
• Ability to quickly learn new apps.

Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of the infusion referral process; obtaining authorizations, financial counseling, benefit investigation.
• Liaise with referring providers to obtain documentation and communicate patient status.
• Communicate referral process and status to patients in a patient-centric way.
• Openly communicate with referring/prescribing providers.
• Assist in maintaining medical inventory and office supplies.
• Participate in a dedicated 6-week training plan.
