Job summary

Local Infusion invites applications for an Insurance & Intake Coordinator—an "Infusion Guide"—to join our onsite team in Harrisonburg, VA. The role offers full-time hours, Monday–Friday, 8:00–4:30, with a starting pay of $25/hour plus a quarterly bonus and full benefits.

The Infusion Guide will handle referrals, authorizations, financial counseling, and benefit investigations, ensuring top-tier patient care and smooth physician communications.

Qualifications

• Health care experience required and preferred in infusion or related field.
• Experience with prior authorizations and insurance processes.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and patient communications.

Responsibilities

• Handle infusion referral process and obtain authorizations.
• Coordinate with providers and communicate patient status.
• Explain referral process to patients with a customer-centric approach.
• Coordinate with prescribing/referring providers and maintain supplies.
• Participate in a 6-week training plan to succeed in the role.
