Job summary

Local Infusion, located in Springfield, VA, is seeking an Insurance & Intake Coordinator—an "Infusion Guide"—passionate about elevating infusion therapy care. The role handles referrals, authorizations, and patient service to ensure the highest level of care in infusion therapy.

This full-time, on-site position offers M-F, 9:00am - 5:30pm hours with a 6-week training plan, and a starting salary of $25/hr plus quarterly bonuses and full benefits.

Qualifications

• Health care experience required.
• Prior infusion experience preferred.
• Insurance pre-authorization experience.
• Medical terminology experience.
• Overall medical insurance experience.
• Ability to quickly grasp new apps.
• Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.

Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of the infusion referral process and obtain authorizations.
• Coordinate financial counseling and benefit investigation with referrals.
• Liaise with referring providers to obtain documentation and communicate status.
• Explain referral process and status to patients in a patient-friendly way.
• Communicate openly with referring and prescribing providers.
• Assist in maintaining medical inventory and office supplies.
