Job summary

Local Infusion is hiring an Insurance & Intake Coordinator—an Infusion Guide—to raise the bar in infusion therapy care. This full-time, onsite role in Harrisonburg, VA, operates Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with a starting pay of $25/hour plus quarterly performance bonuses.

You will coordinate referrals, confirm authorizations, and support patients and providers throughout the infusion process. The ideal candidate has healthcare experience, familiarity with infusion, insurance prior

Qualifications

• Health care experience required.
• Prior experience in infusion is preferred.
• Insurance prior authorization experience.
• Medical terminology experience.
• Overall medical insurance experience.
• Ability to quickly grasp new apps.
• Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.

Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of the infusion referral process; obtaining authorizations, financial counseling, benefit investigation.
• Liaise with referring providers to obtain documentation and communicate status of patients.
• Communicate referral process and status to patients in a customer-centric way.
• Openly communicate with referring/prescribing providers.
• Assist in maintaining medical inventory and office supplies.
• Dedicated 6 week training plan to help you succeed in your role.
