Local Infusion is seeking an Insurance & Intake Coordinator—an "Infusion Guide"—to coordinate referrals and insurance pre-authorizations while delivering exceptional patient service. This full-time, on-site role is based at our McKinney, TX infusion center, with a M-F 8:00am - 4:30pm schedule.

Qualifications

• Health care experience required.
• Prior authorization experience.
• Infusion experience preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.
• Experience with medical insurance processes.

Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of the infusion referral process; obtaining authorizations, financial counseling, benefit investigation.
• Liaison with referring providers to obtain documentation and communicate status of patients.
• Communicate referral process and status to patients in a customer-centric way.
• Openly communicate with referring/prescribing providers.
• Assist in maintaining medical inventory and office supplies.
• Dedicated 6 week training plan to help you succeed in your role.
