Job summary

Local Infusion is hiring an Insurance & Intake Coordinator, called an Infusion Guide, to support referral and intake coordination with exceptional customer service. The role is full-time and onsite in Morristown, NJ, with typical hours Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

Salary starts at $25/hour plus a quarterly bonus and full benefits; prior experience reading medical charts and handling insurance pre-authorizations is preferred.

Qualifications

• Health care experience is required.
• Insurance prior authorization experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is essential.
• Familiarity with EHR systems is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of the infusion referral process, including authorizations, financial counseling, and benefit investigation.
• Liaise with referring providers to obtain treatment documentation and communicate patient status.
• Clearly communicate referral process and status to patients in a customer-centric manner.
• Coordinate with referring/prescribing providers to ensure smooth referrals and documentation.
• Assist in maintaining medical inventory and office supplies.
• Complete a dedicated 6-week training plan to help you succeed in the role.
