Job summary

Local Infusion is seeking an Insurance & Intake Coordinator, an “Infusion Guide,” to join our Riverhead, NY center. This full-time, onsite role focuses on insurance authorizations, referrals, and patient-first intake coordination to support high-quality infusion care.

You’ll collaborate with clinicians and providers, use EHR systems, and participate in a six-week training plan. Competitive benefits and predictable hours accompany the role.

Qualifications

• Health Care Experience Required
• Prior Experience in Infusion is Preferred
• Insurance Prior Authorization Experience
• Medical Terminology Experience
• Overall Medical Insurance Experience
• Ability to quickly grasp new apps
• Experience and strong familiarity utilizing Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems

Responsibilities

• Handle infusion referral process; obtain authorizations, financial counseling, benefit investigation
• Liaison with referring providers to obtain documentation and communicate status
• Communicate referral process and status to patients in a customer-centric way
• Openly communicate with referring/prescribing providers
• Assist in maintaining medical inventory and office supplies
• Dedicated 6 week training plan to help you succeed in your role
