Job summary

Local Infusion in Springfield, VA is seeking an Insurance & Intake Coordinator—an “Infusion Guide”—to coordinate referrals, authorizations, and patient services with care and accuracy.

This full-time onsite role offers a predictable M-F schedule, starting at $25/hr plus quarterly bonus, comprehensive benefits, PTO, and 401(k) matching, along with ongoing training to advance as the company grows.

Qualifications

• Health care experience required.
• Experience with insurance pre-authorizations.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.
• Experience using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
• Ability to quickly learn new apps and tools.

Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of the infusion referral process; obtaining authorizations, financial counseling, benefit investigation.
• Liaise with referring providers to obtain documentation and communicate patient status.
• Communicate referral process and status to patients in a customer-centric way.
• Maintain open communication with referring/prescribing providers.
• Assist in maintaining medical inventory and office supplies.
• Complete a dedicated 6-week training plan to succeed in the role.
