Local Infusion is the fastest growing infusion provider in the United States, committed to elevating infusion therapy care through patient-centered service and AI-enhanced workflows. We are seeking an Insurance & Intake Coordinator—an “Infusion Guide”—to coordinate referrals, pre-authorizations, and patient support at our Asheville, NC center, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm.

Qualifications

• Passion for Patient Care and delivering exceptional patient experiences.
• Healthcare experience required.
• Infusion experience preferred.
• Insurance prior authorization experience.
• Medical terminology experience.
• Overall medical insurance experience.
• Ability to quickly grasp new apps.
• Experience and familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.

Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of the infusion referral process; obtaining authorizations, financial counseling, benefit investigations.
• Liaise with referring providers to obtain documentation necessary for treatment, and communicate status of their patients.
• Communicate referral process and status to patients in a customer-centric way.
• Openly communicate with referring/prescribing providers.
• Assist in maintaining medical inventory and office supplies.
• Dedicated 6 week training plan to help you succeed in your role.
