Job summary

Local Infusion is seeking an Insurance & Intake Coordinator, an Infusion Guide, to coordinate referrals, authorizations, and patient communication. This full-time onsite role is based in Harbison, SC, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 to 4:30, and a training plan to ensure success in a fast-paced, healthcare-innovation environment.

Qualifications

• Prior experience reading medical charts and handling insurance pre-authorizations.
• Experience with EHR systems and medical terminology.
• Patient-focused with strong communication and empathy.
• Healthcare experience required.

Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of the infusion referral process; obtaining authorizations, financial counseling, benefit investigation
• Liaison with referring providers to obtain documentation necessary for treatment, and communicate status of their patients
• Communicate referral process and status to patients in a customer-centric way
• Openly communicate with referring/prescribing providers
• Assist in maintaining medical inventory and office supplies
• Dedicated 6 week training plan to help you succeed in your role
