Job summary

Local Infusion is seeking an Insurance & Intake Coordinator—an Infusion Guide—who is passionate about elevating infusion therapy care. The Infusion Guide will drive growth through detailed referral and intake coordination, along with excellent customer and physician service to ensure patients receive top-tier care.

This full-time, onsite role is based in Harbison, SC with a Mon-Fri, 8:00–4:30 schedule. Ideal candidates have healthcare experience, insurance prior authorization experience, and

Qualifications

• Healthcare experience required.
• Insurance prior authorization experience essential.
• Medical terminology knowledge helpful.
• Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of the infusion referral process, including authorizations, financial counseling, and benefit investigation.
• Liaise with referring providers to obtain documentation and communicate patient status.
• Communicate referral process and status to patients in a customer-centric way.
• Collaborate with referring/prescribing providers and manage medical inventory as needed.
• Complete a dedicated 6-week training plan to ensure success in the role.
