Job summary

Local Infusion is seeking an Insurance & Intake Coordinator—an Infusion Guide—who is passionate about elevating infusion therapy care. This full-time, on-site role is based in Commack, NY, with typical hours Monday–Friday, 8:00–4:30, and centers on referrals, authorizations, and superior patient and physician service.

Qualifications

• Health Care Experience Required
• Prior Experience in Infusion is Preferred
• Medical Terminology Experience
• Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
• Ability to quickly grasp new apps
• Reading medical charts and insurance pre-authorizations experience

Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of the infusion referral process; obtaining authorizations, financial counseling, benefit investigation
• Liaison with referring providers to obtain documentation necessary for treatment, and communicate status of their patients
• Communicate referral process and status to patients in a customer-centric way
• Openly communicate with referring/prescribing providers
• Assist in maintaining medical inventory and office supplies
• Dedicated 6 week training plan to help you succeed in your role
