Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital—Suffolk is seeking a Patient Coordinator for Infusion to join our administrative team on-site in Suffolk, NY. This full-time daytime role includes alternating Saturdays and a focus on coordinating patient treatment plans and follow-up care for infusion services.

You will greet patients, collect demographics, pre-register, and support the operational flow of the infusion unit while maintaining organized patient records.

Qualifications

• Experience with word processing and computer databases.
• Strong written and verbal communication; multitasking and organization.
• High school diploma or GED; 1 year office experience; 2 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming, customer-friendly environment and use exemplary customer service.
• Greet patients, collect demographics, pre-register, and support infusion unit flow.
• Enter data, maintain medical records, and transmit records by mail, email, or fax.
• Schedule, confirm appointments, coordinate with PAT and patient access for procedures.
• Handle calls, route messages, manage supplies and general clerical duties.
• Enter lab results and medication profiles, follow up on documents as needed.
• Prepare discharge charts and assist billing with documentation.
• Coordinate with referring physicians and obtain necessary documentation.
• Assist with other duties as required.
