Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital—Suffolk is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Infusion Department for a full-time day shift. The role includes delivering professional nursing care per physician orders, evaluating patient progress, and coordinating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comfort and safety for patients and families.

The ideal candidate will have a two-year nursing program, NYS RN license, and BLS/ACLS certifications; oncology/infusion experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have a professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice.
• Current New York State license as a Registered Professional Nurse.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS for certain units if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient health data with patient and family involvement.
• Perform initial assessments and document care plans.
• Develop and implement plans of care with interdisciplinary team.
• Provide patient and family education and discharge planning.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed.
• Ensure safety and quality of nursing care on the unit.
• Collaborate with management to improve the care environment.
