Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital—Suffolk is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Infusion Department. This full‑time, day shift position (37.5 hours/week) includes M‑W 8am–6pm and Sat 8am–5:30pm, serving patients in infusion services.

The nurse provides care per physician treatment plans, documents progress, teaches patients and families, collaborates with the interdisciplinary team, and participates in new‑employee orientation and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Professional nursing knowledge and practice.
• Current NYS Registered Nurse license required.
• Ability to work with diverse patient populations and families.

Responsibilities

• Collects patient health data with patient and family involvement.
• Performs initial patient assessment based on presentation.
• Documents nursing assessments and plan of care.
• Provides age-appropriate care and safety for patients.
• Collaborates with the care team to implement treatment plans.
• Demonstrates discharge planning within admission process.
• Educates patients and families on care plans and follow‑up.
