Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital-Suffolk is seeking a Patient Coordinator - Infusion to join our team in a full-time daytime role. You will coordinate patient treatment plans, schedule follow-up care, and enroll patients in programs while assessing adherence to medical plans via phone or on-site visits.

The role includes greeting patients, pre-registration, supporting infusion unit workflow, and maintaining organized records.

Qualifications

• Experience with word processing and computer databases required.
• Strong oral and written, multitasking, detail oriented, organizational, customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Education: High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of office experience required; two years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create a customer friendly environment utilizing exemplary customer service skills.
• Greet patients, pre-register patients scheduled for the unit, support operational flow of the infusion unit.
• Compile and record medical charts and correspondence using a computer and various software programs.
• Maintain medical records, technical library, and correspondence files; perform clerical tasks such as scheduling and inventory management.
• Enter patient lab results and medication profiles; follow up on required documentation.
• Process discharge charts and support billing documentation; communicate procedural instructions to patients.
