Job summary

The nurse provides professional care per physician plans, assesses needs, implements treatment, and documents progress for patient and family well-being. The incumbent will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, orient new staff, and support discharge planning while ensuring safety and quality of care across age groups.

Qualifications

• Two years of professional nursing knowledge and practice.
• Current New York State Registered Professional Nurse license.
• BLS required; ACLS and PALS recommended for Emergency/ICU scenarios.

Responsibilities

• Gather patient health data and involve patient/family in care planning.
• Perform initial patient assessments and document findings.
• Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with the care team.
• Ensure safety, discharge planning, and coordination of services.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and response to treatment.
