Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital—Suffolk is seeking a Patient Coordinator - Infusion to ensure that patient treatment plans are followed and follow-up care is scheduled. The role involves enrolling members in programs, assessing compliance via phone or on-site visits, and maintaining accurate patient records.

This full-time, days position in PCC-Suffolk-Infusion runs Monday through Friday 10:00AM - 6:00PM, with alternating Saturdays 8:00AM - 4:00PM.

Qualifications

• Experience with word processing and computer databases required.
• One year of office experience required; two years preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years scheduling experience in a medical office or healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Create a customer friendly environment utilizing exemplary customer service skills.
• Greet patients, obtain demographic information, and pre-register patients scheduled for the unit.
• Interviews patients, completes intake and insurance forms, and records charts and correspondence.
• Maintain medical records, library and files; handle billing paperwork.
• Retrieve and enter patient lab results and medication profiles; follow up on documentation.
• Schedule procedures, assist with billing and communicate with physicians and patients.
