Job summary

Venteon is seeking a Construction Operations Manager in Michigan to lead field operations for infrastructure and utility projects, overseeing multiple superintendents and crews while ensuring safety, quality, and timely delivery.

You will coordinate with clients, utility companies, municipalities, and regulators throughout project lifecycles, develop competitive proposals, and implement standardized processes to boost efficiency and performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of infrastructure and utilities construction experience, including 3+ years in operations or senior PM roles.
• Proven success bidding and estimating public/private contracts, including government procurement processes.
• Strong knowledge of underground utilities, site development, and civil infrastructure projects.
• Excellent leadership and multi-project management skills overseeing crews and subcontractors.
• Proficiency in CM/estimating software: HeavyBid, HCSS, Bluebeam, Procore, AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Manage full lifecycle of infrastructure and utility construction projects from planning to closeout.
• Lead preparation of bids, estimates, and RFP responses for public and private projects.
• Coordinate with estimators, engineers, and business development on proposals.
• Oversee contracts, change orders, and subcontractor agreements for clarity and compliance.
• Monitor project budgets, cash flow, and job cost reports; take corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure OSHA standards and compliance with DOT, environmental, and municipal requirements.
