Job summary

Venteon is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead commercial and industrial mechanical construction projects in the Metro Detroit area. You will oversee planning, scheduling, budgeting, and coordination with contractors, owners, architects, engineers, and field teams.

Minimum five years of PM experience in mechanical construction is required, with a bachelor’s degree preferred. You should have strong skills in scheduling, cost control, contract administration, and the ability to read

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent construction experience may be considered.
• Minimum of 5 years of commercial construction project management experience.
• Experience managing commercial mechanical projects valued at $5 million or more.
• Strong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, estimating, and contract administration.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, contracts, and other project documents.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial mechanical construction projects from planning through closeout.
• Develop, monitor, and forecast schedules and budgets.
• Coordinate activities with general contractors, owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
• Lead meetings and maintain clear, timely communication with stakeholders.
• Review plans, submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
• Work with estimating and field supervision to transition from estimating to execution.
• Monitor project costs, labor, materials, and budgets.
• Oversee project documentation and closeout activities.
