Job summary

Venteon is seeking an experienced Project Manager for a Commercial and Industrial Mechanical Construction company in the Metro Detroit area. You will oversee projects from planning and pre-construction through completion and closeout, ensuring quality, safety, and on-time delivery.

You will coordinate with general contractors, owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel; develop schedules, budgets, forecasts, and change orders; and lead project meetings to keep

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of commercial construction project management experience.
Experience managing commercial mechanical projects valued at $5 million or more preferred.
Strong understanding of commercial construction processes, project scheduling, budgeting, estimating, and contract administration.
Working knowledge of mechanical construction, including HVAC, plumbing, piping, and related systems preferred.
Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, contracts, and other project documents.
Strong understanding of change orders, RFIs, submittals, procurement, and project closeout procedures.
Excellent communication, organization, problem‑solving, and leadership skills.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, contractors, vendors, and employees.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and construction project management software: Procore, Autodesk Forma, Clearstory, etc.
Strong financial and analytical skills with the ability to monitor project costs and profitability.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast‑paced construction environment.
Ability to travel to project sites as needed.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Manage commercial mechanical construction projects from planning to closeout.
Develop and monitor schedules, budgets, forecasts, and projections.
Coordinate activities with general contractors, owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and field staff.
Lead meetings and ensure timely communication with stakeholders.
Review plans, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project docs.
Ensure safety compliance and quality standards on all sites.
Maintain project records and provide updates to management.
Visit sites regularly to monitor progress and resolve issues.
Support closeout activities with punch lists and final docs.
