Boyne Resorts is seeking an Infrastructure Technician for a full-time, year-round IT role serving Boyne Mountain Resort, Boyne Country Sports, and BOYNE reservations across the properties. The position mixes hands-on field work with helpdesk support, with the primary location at Boyne Mountain and occasional travel to other BOYNE locations.

You will manage voice, data, and TV cabling, support guest room tech, and assist with IT projects, ensuring reliable operations for resort teams.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in various weather.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain voice, data, and TV cabling infrastructure indoors and outdoors.
• Provide helpdesk support and log/resolve tickets promptly.
• Run morning system checks on WiFi, guest room systems, digital signage, and LED displays.
• Support guest room issues including TV, phone, and internet.
• Troubleshoot and repair end-user devices, printers, cameras, and other resort tech.
• Plan daily/weekly workload and arrive prepared with tools.
• Document solutions for end-user education and technical reference.
• Assist with seasonal rotation of POS hardware and inventory.
• Contribute to IT projects and coordinate with management.
• Use vendor support to resolve complex problems and improve processes.

Overview

An immediate opening for a full-time, year-round position in the Information Technology department is available. As an Infrastructure Technician, you are responsible for providing technology and infrastructure support to Boyne Mountain Resort, Boyne Country Sports, and BOYNE reservations team members across all three properties. You will split your time between hands-on field work and helpdesk support, working independently to manage your daily workload. Primary location is Boyne Mountain Resort, with occasional travel to other BOYNE locations as needed. Responsibilities

• Maintaining voice, data, and TV cabling infrastructure (indoor and outdoor); repairing or replacing defective wiring; installing and terminating wiring to support renovation, relocation, or new construction
• Providing helpdesk support to resort team members - troubleshooting, logging, and resolving tickets in a timely manner
• Performing morning system checks on key resort technology including WiFi access points, Sonifi guest room systems across all three properties, digital marketing channels, and LED signage
• Providing support for guest room issues including but not limited to: TV, phone, and internet
• Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing or replacing various systems including: end user phones, TVs, printers, security cameras, digital signage, cell boosters, team member cell phones, digital music, speakers, RFID gates, ticket printers, and any other resort technology
• Planning and organizing daily and weekly workload independently - arriving prepared with the right tools and materials for each job
• Providing current and new users with basic instruction and documenting solutions for both end user education and technical reference
• Performing seasonal rotation of POS hardware and related equipment configurations; maintaining an inventory of tools and equipment
• Working on IT-related projects as directed by IT management
• Using vendor support to resolve difficult problems
• Developing innovative ways to improve and/or streamline current processes
• May be assigned additional tasks by supervisor

Qualifications

This position may be for you if:

• You are at least 18 years old and have achieved a high school diploma or GED
• You possess a valid driver's license
• You are self-motivated and take ownership of your work - you plan your day, show up prepared, and follow through without needing step-by-step direction
• You take pride in doing jobs right the first time and hold yourself to a high standard
• You have strong interpersonal and communication skills and work well with others
• You are comfortable with basic hand tools and have general troubleshooting instincts
• Audio/video knowledge is a plus but not required - we will train the right person
• You are available to work some nights, weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime
• You are able to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions
• You are able to regularly lift and/or move 10 pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and use ladders as needed
• You are able to occasionally travel to various BOYNE locations in Michigan
