The Highlands is seeking a Lift Maintenance Assistant to help ensure the safe operation of ski lift equipment. This role involves assisting with maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to provide guests with a safe and enjoyable experience.

The ideal candidate will have mechanical aptitude, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work in varying weather conditions. This is a full-time, on-site position at The Highlands with perks including health insurance, housing availability,

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license is required.
• Lift maintenance experience preferred but not required.
• Must be able to lift/carry up to 75 lbs.
• Must be able to stand for long periods.
• Work outdoors in winter and summer, including bad weather.
• Must be comfortable working around loud machinery and equipment.
• Flexible schedule - days, nights, weekdays, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and insure safe operation of all The Highlands chairlifts, carpets, and other cable rope transportation systems.
• Able to stand and sit for long periods, use ladders, and work at heights up to 50 feet.
• Prepare and safety check lifts for daily operation before Lift Operations arrives.
• Be able to complete lift start-up procedures independently.
• Perform scheduled routine maintenance as well as diagnostic maintenance.
• Maximize safety within all aspects of the department.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Maintain certifications, licenses, and training as necessary.
• Assist with documentation using Manager Plus Application.
• Be able to understand and follow all ANSI, State, and Federal Guidelines.
• Willing and able to participate in all maintenance needs.
• Maintain a positive attitude consistently, including during high-stress situations.
• Be able to work concurrently with all Resort staff and encourage a productive work environment.
