Job summary

HNTB is seeking current or former interns for a field inspection role in Charlotte, NC. You will inspect activities, document progress, and ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and contract provisions while maintaining daily logs and reporting to the Field Engineer.

The position emphasizes on-site inspection, testing, and documentation. A HS diploma and 3 years of construction experience are required, along with any state certificates.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent and 3 years of construction related experience.
• All required jurisdictional certificates and state requirements.
• Current/former HNTB intern

Responsibilities

• Observes, documents, and verifies work in progress by the construction contractor to ensure compliance with contract documents and plans.
• Calculates standard measurements and checks material compliance with specifications.
• Maintains daily inspector logs and reviews discrepancies with Field Engineer.
• Performs on-site material testing and prepares as-constructed sketches as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
