Job summary

HNTB is seeking an intern-level inspector to provide daily on-site inspection of activities to ensure compliance with plans and specifications. The role involves logging daily activities, testing materials, and producing as-constructed sketches under the supervision of a Field Engineer.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and at least 3 years of construction-related experience, plus any required state certifications. Internship status is mandatory for applicants.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent and 3 years of construction related experience.
• All required jurisdictional certificates and state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Observes, documents, and verifies work in progress by the construction contractor to ensure compliance with contract documents and plans.
• Utilizes engineering inspection practices to perform standard mathematical calculations and measurements of completed work to date.
• Maintains Inspector's daily report of assigned work activities, contactor labor and equipment, quantity of material received and verified.
• Performs on-site material testing and produces as-constructed sketches as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
