Job summary

HNTB is seeking current or former interns to assist with engineering inspection and documentation of construction work on major infrastructure projects. You will monitor compliance with plans, specifications, and contract provisions while protecting the client's interests on site.

The role includes reading drawings, performing on-site inspections, coordinating quality controls, and supporting office engineers with meetings, RFIs, submittals, and progress reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
• Experience reading construction drawings and specifications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assists with construction field work to ensure conformance to plans and specs; coordinates quality control inspections.
• Observes on-site material testing and reviews daily reports and as-built markups; prepares progress reports.
• Consults with Resident Engineer and supports RFIs, submittals, and other deliverables; assists in office engineer tasks.
