Job summary

HNTB is seeking an intern-level inspector to perform daily inspection of routine activities on construction projects, ensuring compliance with plans and specifications. The role involves maintaining daily logs, on-site material testing, and drafting as-constructed sketches under supervision.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma/GED and at least 3 years of construction-related experience, plus jurisdictional certificates as required. Prior HNTB internship is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• 3 years of construction related experience.

Responsibilities

• Observes, documents, and verifies work in progress by the construction contractor to ensure compliance with contract documents and plans.
• Utilizes engineering inspection practices to perform standard mathematical calculations and measurements of completed work to date.
• Maintains Inspector's daily report of assigned work activities, contractor labor and equipment, quantity of material received and verified.
• Performs on-site material testing and produces as-constructed sketches as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
