The Falkirk Mining Company in Underwood, IA, is seeking an IT Intern (Trainee) to gain hands-on experience while pursuing an Information Systems degree. This three to eight month program targets students who have started their degree and intend to complete it after the internship.
Duties include designing and developing applications, network/server administration, workstation deployment, and supporting field technologies.
Employee Type: Intern (Trainee)This program is designed for students currently pursuing a two- or four-year degree, who have completed a portion of their curriculum, and will be completing their program after the internship experience. It is not designed for graduates. Falkirk views this position as an opportunity to expose an Information Technology (or related) student to work experience relating to the support and advancement of technology infrastructure and related environments. The successful candidate will work with our innovative Information Systems team in pursuit of their goal of achieving exceptional support and continued cost-effective development of industry leading systems. This candidate will be energetic, personable, and able to work efficiently in a group setting or independently as directed.

ANALYSIS OF PHYSICAL DEMANDS FOR POSITION:
NOTE: This position requires working rotating shifts. The role involves approximately 80% indoor work and 20% outdoor work. Employees must be able to work while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE), including but not limited to steel-toe boots, safety glasses, a hard hat, face shield, and respirator. Must also successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check and the applicable Job Function Test (JFT).
