Job summary

Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is seeking an Information Systems Advisor 1- Datawarehouse to guide complex information systems projects, focusing on data management and analytics. The role administers and maintains databases and collaborates across departments.

You will lead data architecture initiatives, ensure data integrity, and provide policy direction. Five years of relevant experience and an IT-related degree substitute are required.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in data processing operations, applications, PC network support, or related areas.
• IT-related degree can substitute for experience on a 1:1 ratio.
• Resident requirement: all employees must be residents of Tennessee or become residents within six months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a subject-matter expert on data management, application functionality, and system integration.
• Identifies and leads resolution of high-impact technical problems to enhance Metro information systems.
• Coordinates resources and project activities across departments to meet objectives.
• Prepares comprehensive technical documentation including RFPs, project proposals, system specifications, and executive reports.
• Designs, develops, and maintains database and data-warehouse structures for analytics and reporting.
• Monitors performance, performs data optimization, and manages backup/recovery procedures.
