The Metropolitan Government of Nashville & Davidson County seeks an IS Advisor 1 - Technology Finance to oversee the IT division's non-salary budgets, capital funds, contracts, and procurements for MNPD. The role requires analyzing financials, preparing management reports, and ensuring compliance across budgeting processes.

The position supports 24/7 IT operations, collaborates with program managers, and may contribute to strategic planning and presentations for budget requests.

Competenze

• Five years of experience in information technology and data processing operations, procurement and finance applications.
• Additional IT degree field may substitute for some experience (1:1).
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 and Power Platform; Oracle Fusion Cloud modules for Procurement, Payables and Reporting.

Mansioni

• Plan, organize, and maintain non-salary operating budgets, capital funds, and IT contracts for the MNPD IT Division.
• Manage IT-related general fund non-salary expenses, grant funds, and operating capital funds.
• Oversee procurements, subscriptions, maintenance and repair services for Police IT.
• Develop, modify, and implement the division's strategic plan; provide financial reports and projections.
• Ensure internal controls, perform accounting, auditing, budgeting, and compliance tasks.
• Collaborate with program managers on funding, expenses, and procurement matters.
• Prepare management reports and budget presentations; monitor cost efficiency and fund limitations.
• Support 24x7x365 police IT operations, including on-call responses and off-site meetings.

Formazione

IT-related degree field preferred (may substitute some experience)
