Job summary

McDermott Will & Schulte seeks an Information Governance Risk and Compliance Analyst to manage governance initiatives ensuring regulatory compliance and secure data handling across the firm. Focused on client transfers, onboarding/offboarding, and ESI management, you’ll enforce policies and contribute to technology-driven workflows and analytics.

The role reports to the Information Governance Manager and requires collaboration with attorneys and staff to meet ethical and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years of related work experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).
Ability to handle confidential information and work under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

Understand and articulate information governance obligations to stakeholders.
Coordinate identification, transfer and collection of materials for attorney departures and client transfers.
Transfer electronic records to/from the Document Management System (iManage) and related repositories.
Ensure data and metadata are imported, classified, and assigned correctly.
Document and classify outbound digital record transfers for due diligence tracking (ServiceNow).
Develop and maintain relationships with attorneys and staff during onboarding/offboarding.
Apply security controls and metadata structures using Titan File, 7-zip, and Prosperoware Milan.
Collaborate with Legal and Business Operations on governance initiatives.
Develop, implement, and maintain information governance procedures and internal controls.
