Job summary

McDermott Will & Schulte is seeking an Information Governance Risk and Compliance Analyst to manage governance initiatives, ensure regulatory compliance, and protect sensitive data. The role focuses on client transfers, on-boarding/off-boarding, and ESI handling across the Firm’s systems.

You will work with attorneys, paralegals, and staff, enforcing policies, classifying data, and supporting workflow improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or at least two years of related work experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational abilities with ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to handle and maintain confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Understand and articulate information governance obligations across the firm.
• Coordinate identification, transfer, and collection of materials for attorney departures or client transfers.
• Transfer electronic records to and from iManage and related repositories with accurate metadata.
• Develop information governance procedures and internal controls per industry best practices.
